Movie review ulet? Sensha na, y'know, feeling busy person. Pero I must say I really loved watching Warm Bodies. Partly because I love zombie films (and TV shows) and also because the story is just so darn cute! As in! It's not over-the-top pa-emo ekek like Twilight or super heavy dramatic at epic-spanning kemeroot boomboom. Instead, super sakto lang. At hindi boring in fairness. Ako pa, hindi ako palabasa ng books--feeling expert na ako after browsing Wikipedia entries ng pelikulang napanood ko (bawal mag-judge, I'm sure hindi lang ako gumagawa nyan).
Synopsis: kahit off-putting sya pakinggan, basically, si "R" (si Nick Houlton, yung gumanap na Beast sa X-Men first class at lalabas din sa "Jack the Giant Slayer) eh isang zombie na nung ma-meet nya si Jillian, somehow na-inlove sya sa kanya at unti-unti syang nagiging tao ulit. If chaka pakinggan ang synopsis na itey, try nyo panoorin ang trailer nya sa Youtube, mae-engganyo kayo manood for sure. And when you do manage to watch it, you'll love the film kasi balanced yung sequences ng romance, suspense, comedy and even action. It even has an array of social commentaries (particularly at the start wherein "R" though na life was so much different daw before humans turned into zombies, wherein people could interact normally pero ang images na pinakita eh mga taong puro mga naka-Smartphone at hindi naguusap at effectively eh mga techno-zombies). Don't worry, it's not intellectually taxing, as in super-light lang.
